About Extreme Boats

Extreme Boats is a family-orientated business. We began manufacturing boats in 1998 in small runs and have gone from strength to strength. We currently have twenty full-time staff including my wife Diane and myself, Glenn Shaw.

From the outset we could see no benefit entering the Trailer Boat market without introducing a series of boats with a major point of difference. For this reason, we employed the services of well known designer - Scott Robson. Scott designed a range of hulls for us featuring a successful 'Deep Vee' hull design.

Designed as a range of serious off-shore boats based on proven hull technology, all our boats feature the 'Deep Vee' hull. The boats boast fine entry for high-speed head sea performance, all while retaining a high chine with full shoulder for excellent sea-handling. Excellent stability at rest or full-throttle comes from a pair of very large aft chine flats. This also makes for an incredibly dry ride.

Extreme Boats

From an aesthetics point of view,  nothing else matches our flowing lines. At boat shows our hulls are constantly being tapped by boaties trying to determine whether they are manufactured from glass or aluminum. The finish is that good!

It is these features that have allowed Extreme Boats to grow from a small company producing a few boats in 1998 to a sizeable company today. We now produce 100 boats annually thanks to a strong following from boaties in the New Zealnd market. Due to our international marketing campaigns we expect to be producing around 120 boats annually by mid 2008. With continued growth in our two off-shore markets, New Caledonia and Australia, we expect to double that figure by 2009.

We pride ourselves on our finish and overall construction strength. Not only does our design look great, but the hull performance and structural strength is second-to-none. All structure is fully welded, all buoyancy and fuel tanks are pressurized and certified, and aluminum sheet certification can be verified. That way you know all our hulls are produced to survey standards.

What does this mean to you, an Extreme Boats customer? You have complete peace of mind knowing your boat is going to be around for generations to come.
